Disposal of Hazardous Materials

The Marathon County Solid Waste Department offers a Household Hazardous Materials Collection Program. Their flyer lists all the household hazardous items that can be dropped off at their facility. If you have questions on items not specifically listed, you may call them at 715-446-3101, or by visiting their website: http://www.marathoncountysolidwaste.org/

FREE "LEFTOVER" HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES!

Need a little paint, some degreaser, or lawn fertilizer?

When people bring in their unwanted paint, cleaners, fertilizers, etc... the Marathon County Household Hazardous Waste facility will stock partially filled containers on their "Choose to Reuse" shelf to be given away FREE to people who have a need for them. When the shelf gets full, a picture and list of these free items are posted on Craigslist, and anyone can then take them home.

Stop in and see what's on the shelf today....You'd be surprised by the valuable items they have.

See page 15 to view the Marathon County Solid Waste Department Clean Sweep Program's Household Materials Collection Program flyer to find out what's accepted at the Marathon County Hazardous Waste facility.
