Running for Office

Welcome to the Village of Weston's Page for Local Candidates!

The Village of Weston Clerk's office reviews, retains, posts, and manages documentation and ballot access for: Village President and Trustees.

Candidate Forms - Getting on the Ballot:

All persons who are running for office as a candidate must file the campaign registration statement, declaration of candidacy, and nomination papers. All documents shall be in the Clerk’s office no later than the first Tuesday in January.

  • Must be notarized or signed - The Clerk's office can do this.

Nomination Papers

  • Circulation begins December 1, 2025.
  • Those who circulate the papers for nomination -circulators- don't have to live in the district, but must be the following:
    • A U.S. Citizen
    • Over 18 years of age
    • Not otherwise disqualified as an elector in the State of Wisconsin
  • Circulators then certify, sign, and date the nomination paper(s) after they obtain the last signature on the page.
