Project Bidding
The Village of Weston has partnered with Quest Construction Data Network (QuestCDN) for administering bidding documents for publicly bid projects.
QuestCDN is a a web-based interface that delivers construction project advertisements and bid documents to bidders in a more timely and cost effective manner. The Village's publicly-bid projects will be advertised through both the QuestCDN website and the local newspaper (Wausau Daily Herald) where the QuestCDN Project Number will be provided for Bidder's to reference.
Some benefits of the electronic delivery of bid documents through QuestCDN include:
- An optional free membership with QuestCDN where the only expense is for downloading the bid documents and to participate in online bidding.
- Bid documents can be previewed without cost. You can look over the plan drawings and specifications before deciding whether to download the bid documents.
- Bid documents are provided in the Adobe PDF format. Adobe Acrobat Reader can be downloaded for a free from the software website.
- Electronic file sharing helps reduce paper waste traditionally associated with printing numerous copies of plans and manuals for public bidding.
- Sign up with QuestCDN
- Automatic e-mail notifications when and if addenda are issued during the bidding timeframe. Addenda may be downloaded without an incurred cost.
- Plan Holder Lists are shared on the project webpage found on the QuestCDN website.
- Project Bid Results are posted on the website whether electronic online bidding or in-person bidding is utilized.
