The Village of Weston Board of Trustees and Plan Commission will hold two public hearings on May 24, 2021, at the same location but at different times as indicated above, to hear public comments related to the draft Schofield Avenue Corridor Plan and Weston Avenue Corridor Plan. Both plans are supplemental elements of the Village’s Comprehensive Plan.
The Schofield Avenue Corridor Plan is intended as a blueprint for future (re)development, zoning decisions, and public investments along and near Schofield Avenue between the western Village limits and the Ryan Street intersection. It includes recommendations for future land use, conceptual redevelopment layouts, and advice for Schofield Avenue roadway improvements. The draft plan is available for review on the Village’s Web page at http://westonwi.gov/625/Schofield-Avenue-Corridor-Plan or at the Municipal Building, 5500 Schofield Avenue, Weston, WI.
The Weston Avenue Corridor Plan is intended as a blueprint for future development, zoning decisions, and transportation upgrades along and near the Weston Avenue between County Road X and the eastern Village limits. It includes recommendations for future economic and neighborhood development and a preliminary plan to reconstruct Weston Avenue. The draft plan is available for review at https://westonwi.gov/DocumentCenter/View/7837/Weston-Avenue-Corridor-Plan-Draft-041221 or at the Municipal Building.
Written comments on the draft plans should be submitted to the Municipal Center (attention Jennifer Higgins, or jhiggins@westonwi.gov) by noon on May 24, 2021. All written comments will be forwarded to the Board and Commission for their consideration. All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard.
