[ARCHIVED] Fall Yard Waste Material and Brush Pickup

Yard waste image

The 2022 Fall Curbside Yard Waste Material and Brush Pickup began October 10. The Village will be making two trips through the Village and materials will need to be out to the roadside by 7:00 AM on the scheduled day of pickup. Please reference the Yard Waste map to see what dates pickup will occur in your neighborhood. Also, please avoid placing your yard waste out too far in advanced.

During collection times, unbagged piles are to be placed on the shoulder or boulevard area and not in the road or gutter area. Yard waste also needs to be at least 5 feet away from power poles, trees, mailboxes and other fixed objects for ease of pickup and to prevent damage to these other facilities.

Brush and other debris are to be kept SEPARATE from the grass/leaves as two different crews with different equipment pick these items up. Brush needs to be less than six (6) inches in diameter and no more than six (6) feet in length. It also needs to be placed parallel to the road with the stump ends and limbs placed in the same direction.

If yard waste material is not properly separated, cannot be reached by the Village's equipment, or is placed out after the last scheduled pickup day, it will be the responsibility of the resident to dispose of the remaining material.

The Village has a yard waste site located at 8200 Ryan Street (.25 mile south of Weston Avenue on the west side) and is free of charge. When bringing items to the waste site, please remove leaves from bags and dispose of the bags in the provided container.
