Construction is still in progress for the Village’s New Municipal Center at 4747 Camp Phillips Road
The new facility is not yet ready to receive members of the public.
The recent closures of Village offices were based on a furniture delivery and moving schedule established in the first week of April.
Expectations at that time were for the construction to be complete by September 26th.
Determination of the completion of the new facility to receive the public is week to week, even day to day.
Major items needing to be finished for the offices include elevator installation, parking lot paving, and HVAC system acceptance. Paving is weather dependent. The elevator install began on October 12th . HVAC systems check out is being scheduled.
Other items remain in the shops.
All walk-in business with the Village continues at 5500 Schofield Avenue until further notice.
The October 17th meetings of the Village Board and Finance Committee will be held at 5500 Schofield Avenue.
All Absentee Voting will be conducted at 5500 Schofield Avenue (weekdays, Tuesday, October 25th through Friday, November 4th).
Election Day polling, November 8th, will be at Dale’s Weston Lanes.
