Running for Elected Office

Are you interested in running for office in the Village of Weston? Running for an elected office is an excellent way to make a difference in your community. In 2025, the Village of Weston will have four positions on the spring ballot. Those positions are for three Trustees and Village President.

By running for local office, you can:

Help make decisions that directly affect your community
Speak out and make a difference on decisions that are important to you
Be a leader in your community by helping to make decisions that impact your community

Important dates to remember are:

December 1, 2024 - First day nomination papers may be circulated
December 27, 2024 - Deadline for incumbents not seeking re-election to file Notice of Non-Candidacy paperwork
January 7, 2025 - All papers and forms due in the Village Clerk’s office by 5:00 p.m.
January 10, 2025 - Deadline to challenge nomination papers

The Spring Election will be held on April 1, 2025. Any persons wishing to take out paperwork may find the necessary forms HERE on the Village website.

The Village will be holding a public informational meeting to discuss the proposed Fuller Street reconstruction project. The meeting will be held Wednesday, November 20th at 6 PM at the Weston Municipal Center.
