October 6-10, 2025 is National Voter Education Week
During this week, we’re focusing on empowering and building confidence in our voters as they prepare to cast their ballots for the 2026 Election Year. Stay informed, know your ballot, and make your voice count!
Register to Vote
• Online during open registration (20 days or more before an election) at myvote.wi.gov. Must have a current and valid Wisconsin Driver's License or Wisconsin State ID card.
• By mail during open registration (20 days or more before an election).
• In the clerk’s office, up until the Friday before the election by 5:00 p.m.
• Your voting location on Election Day
Establish a goal to familiarize yourself with your ballot. Being an informed and intentional voter involves more than casting a vote, it means understanding the choices you’re making
• Review sample ballots which can be found at myvote.wi.gov or at the municipal clerk’s office
• Use nonpartisan, trusted sources to gather candidate information
• Check out your local newspaper for candidate interviews

• Voters have the option to vote absentee, in-person absentee, or at the polls
