Refuse & Recycling
The Village of Weston, with its current population of approximately 15,045, is one of the top recycling communities in the state in total recyclables, banned items, and recycling pounds per capita for a municipality of our size. Currently, the average person in the Village recycles 271.04 pounds of material (not including yard waste) annually, which equates to 1774.23 tons kept out of the landfill!

A community-wide newsletter will be mailed out to the public on or around January 22, 2014. This newsletter gives 2014 details on single-stream recycling, spring clean-up,
options for yard materials disposal, proper refuse and recycling cart placement, guidelines on "what to" and "what not to" recycle, home composting, disposal of unwanted medication, and much more.
Refuse and Recycling Services
The Village of Weston provides refuse (garbage) and recycling services to all single-family homes up to 4-unit residential dwellings.
Multi-family residential dwellings (5-units and over), private developments (under one tax parcel), and all commercial properties are required to contract on their own for refuse and recycling services. Please see the Refuse and Recycling Hauler List for contact information, if you are in need of getting a new refuse and recycling contract in place.
Refuse and Recycling Cart Service Needs
If either your refuse or recycling cart needs to be replaced due to damaged parts, please contact Advanced Disposal Services at 715-359-6637, who will then replace your cart free of charge.
Where to place my Refuse and Recycling Carts?
The best placement for your refuse and recycling cart is at either side of your driveway. If you would like to see some examples of "how to" and "how not to" place your carts, please click on the following: Example 1 and Example 2.
